A good house in New road or Thamel fetches 1 - 8 lakhs in rent per month, tax free. plenty of people with plenty of money in kathmandu. With 90 percent of people in the country poor , underfed , jobless and with such high inflation; what do you expect ? This is the only way for them to survive... socialism is the only solution .
