The message you intended to express is agreeable but you could have edited it so that we do not look like a 2nd or 3rd class world citizens currently happen to be residing in the US. This is a nation of immigrants. If you really want to get an answer to whose country these continental Americas are? Then the answer is: Native Americans’. They arrived here thousands of years ago by either on boats or by walking across the frozen Bering Strait. You should do more research on Native American history or talk to original inhabitants who still reside in the reservations (and if you are aware of it already then I am just reminding you about it). Mark my words, one thing that is certain is even one needs humongous amount of money to tell the story of hardships or how a particular race was treated unfairly in the past. The free-admission Holocaust Museum in Washington DC is just one example of among many such instances. The Native Americans were often portrayed as the bad guys even in Hollywood movies until people like Brando boycotted the Oscars and sent protest letters. All these dark segments of history (I pray) should not be used as alibi to wage war against the perpetrators but that they should be used by the guilty as a lesson not to repeat the mistakes and the distressed ones to develop defense mechanisms. And it’s not my intention either to generate hate toward any race, religion, background etc. The compromise, in the dispute about whose country this really is, then I would say this country belongs to people who can make this country better in one way or another. As I always say if the zoo had only one kind of animals then what a boring place it will be to visit. The diversity among the variety of people in this world is what makes it an exciting place to be in. ;P
