Who are you kidding? Wants to do further study re? Just say that he wants to do his residency, get MD, and settle here comfortably making $100K plus. Nobody is going to blame him or you. I think everyone has the right to pursue happiness. But let's not be hypocritical about it and try to hide behind some so-called noble cause or what not. There are thousands of Nepali doctors here in the US trying to pass the USMLE exams and get residency in US hospitals. I am sure you will run into one eventually. I just wonder if there is a shortage of doctors in Kathmandu nowadays because of this trend. Gau ghar ko kura ta chodi diu, I hear, no nurse, let alone doctor, wants to venture out of Kathmandu. Not that I blame 'em. With Maoists, now JTMM, compounded with low wages and ill prospect of personal growth, who would want to? I just hope the government would do something once things settle down.
