Canadian citizens are treated as foreigners and like Nepali people. I had a friend when I was going to MSU for my undergrad. She is originally from India but Canadian citizen. She has to hold F1 visa to go to school like I was and could not work so it does not matter whether you are Canadian or Nepali. Good luck. Peace!!!
