This is just a politics. The practice itself is not bad but could not reform according to time. At the time back in Malls period, lot of land etc were kept so that the revine/production of its provided to Kumari which might have a lot and enough for survival. At this most of these land were disapper due to corrupt politician/officer so the were not able to provide enough source for survival. Besides the govt at this very time were not able to provide education and other facilities to Kumai with change situation.
