. Depression is a state of mind. Of course Yoga helps a lot to get over with depression. Yoga alone is not enogh. You have to change your diet too. Less fat, less sugar, less meat, less white products like white flour, white sugar, white creamy milk, white rice but lots of fresh vergetables mainly green vegetables.There are quite few very good stuff in nature that you can take them to avoid depression. For example: Asparagus: Specially green Asparagus we should eat this wonderful vegetable once a week. It is not a drug to overcome your problems but it balances the chemical composition inside the brain.Asparagus root is the most effective part for this. You can also get this in powder form in Ayurvedic shops in US. . .
