. Hello Yanj, In April 2007, you can file H1B for yourself. You will still be in status till October 2007. You need to stop working after your OPT expires. You won't lose your status since filing H1B will protect it. Once your H1B gets approved, you can make a trip to either Mexico or Canada and get your PP stamped.
