pupiffy, you bring up a good point: "I hate blacks who whine about slavery and injustice done 100 years ago." Why is this wrong? If we Nepalis are so proud and brag about our Bir Gorkhalis who never lost a war and our coutry iself for never colonized, even today (after 200+ years). This sense of pride is internalized inside each Nepalis when we look to see who we really are as a people. Just like no one can take away this sense of pride from us, don't you think if our people had gone through the horror and barbarism Africans did during the time of slavery, it would just as much part of our identity as were the Bir Gorkhalis. I'm sure you mean to say we need to move on and not get stuck in the past but I think there are certain things / events of our past that are beyond our reach to ease and erase. Anyways just some food for thoughts.... P.S. "hate" is a very heavy word so i hope no one will have to live with it.
