No, these days for the security reasons you can't check the original IP of the sender. All you can see is the IP of the mailserver the particular person is using. It is next to impossible to hide the server info which can be easily seen in the email headers. If you feel that the email is violating any law and which shouldn't be in your mailbox, you have to send the email+header to your email provider and they can decide what to do with it. Gone are the days when one could determine the IP of the sender by casually looking at X-Originating-IP tag in the header section. Which email client or service do you use ?
