Born, i don't think you did it right or complete. I do that shit all the time, or do Forensics on Hard Disks, and i am able to retrive most of the deleted stuff, even if you damage your HD. Impossibilities with certain limitations are when you burn them or break 'em into tiny little pieces then burn'em. if not, you should be able to get all them back.
