Some thoughts on the statistical results. According to the study, in Nepal: Girls have their first intercourse at around the age of 17 and Boys at 18. That is probably because of the early age of marriage in our country. Which is partly validated by the third result in the study. Girls get married at around the age of 16 and boys at 20. That infers boys are quite promiscuous. That's why although they generally marry at the age of 20, they have sex for the first time at around 18. However, girls are not that promiscuous according to these two data points. Still, the second result shows 22% of girls are no longer virgin by age 15, while only 10% of boys are such at the same age. Not sure what to make of this. I know child-marriage factor is at the play, but the numbers seem quite large. Perhaps, kids back home are more sexually active than I thought.
