I figure having an ausaid scholarship was a good medium to get tourist visa anywhere in the world. If you want to see the world do it now (during summer and winter vacation ) You will have money even during those break(without working) why waste your time doing nothing hoina? humm about work, yes student can work for 20h/week (legally) . Its totally upto you if you want to go beyond that 20 h limit. I don't know how does Uni Vic Pays as i went to Uni Melb. I was paid upto A$ 28 (sometimes). If you are good in Statistic or any other subject , try tutoring .It pays you good. In melbourne minimum wage is $ 15 per hour (or around that).
