I currently am under H1B working for a non-profit organization, which is quota-exempt. I am very unsatisfied with this job and am looking to get another job at a different company. but what i heard is that you cannot change from a quota-exempt job to a quota-job (commerical job). to do that you have to wait till april and file new H1B under the quota. i am really stressed out because of this since i desperately want to leave this job but if i cannot change by H1B, then i will be stuck with this job for a long time. if anyone of you have a good idea on how this works, please reply. thanks a lot in advance.
