empty concerts??

I am pretty sure that the Nepali concert recently tend to flop big time is because of the exorbitant amount they charge for tickets. For what it's worth here's my take: $40 is too much for Nepali singers like Nabin Bhattarai or Nima Rumba or even Raju Lama. Personally, I would not pay more than $15 to see those artists. For Deepak Bajracharya, I would pay $20. For bands like Nepathya or 1974 AD, I would pay $25. Fact is, Nepali concerts have not reached the presentation maturity that approaches the level of even the Indian programs. I think the organizers want to believe that Nepalis will come in droves and shell out mucho dinero just because the performers are Nepalis. Sure we need to support our artists, but I think economics is what the organizers need to keep in mind. They need to be bit creative themselves.
