First a disclaimer: Owners of Kathmandu Spice are dear friends of mine. Hence, I am biased on my review, but I have not exaggerated anything, just put down my honest opinion below. This is an opinion, my opinion, so feel free to disagree. =================================================== We were there couple of weekends ago and loved the place. It is quite a cozy little restaurant where you want to bring your friends and family over for enjoyable meal. By little, it is not that little. I think 60 people can comfortably fit in there. I liked the ambience - especially thought the owners put into the interrior decor: the colors of the wall, statuettes that adorn the shelves, thankas in diagonal shaped frames, LCD television in case you want to catch a ballgame, etc. Food was delicious - the Heavenly Drumsticks were indeed quite heavenly. There were other sumptuous dishes too, but they had me at Heavenly Drumsticks. Oh yes, I almost forgot, Kung-Pao Cauliflower was also tastefully interesting. Though one may say Nepali food served in most Nepali restaurants are no different than Indian food, that was not the case in Kathmandu Spice. Yes, the chef is Indian, but the food he makes has unique Nepali flavor. The servers are just delightful. Young Nepali ladies who never fail to smile. My 15 month old daughter had delightful time being pampered by them. They were prompt with the service and quick with menu suggestions. There is no designated parking lot, so you have to park on the streets. If you cannot find a spot on Mass Ave, try the side streets. It should not be too much of trouble. We were there during lunch, so did not have to wait to enter. But with such inviting atmosphere and delicious food, it would not be far fetched to imagine that there would be an hour or two of wait time during weekend dinners. And that is a good sign. Wouldn't you rather go to a restaurant that seems to be in demand than a place that is deserted?
