My observation: 1. GP Koirala has planned a "grand design" to save monarchy in Nepal. The course of pushing UML far and welcoming Maoists on his lap clearly shows his intension. 2. The "grand design" starts with making serious differences between UML and Maoists (which are already surfaced) and by uniting two congress fractions. In such a scenario, congress will able to get a simple majority with the help of RPP and other royal-loyal parties (GP's assumption--- may not be true). 3. Koirala's hand-in-hand with Maoists will go only for CA election. After that, Koirala and Maoists will be the most opposite and aggressive forces towards each other whether or not the kingship remains. 4. While the UML has transferred itself in slow and steady motion from ultra communist to social-democratic forces, Maoists are showing a 180 degree change. Not even a single carde has the democratic mind in Maoist Party. 5. For few years, UML remains the same or little less due to its democratic image but the Maoists will be in ups and downs. In the long run, Maoists will be where they were in 2048. UML will remain as one of the influential political party for a decade or so.
