Buddha is not God ..he is great human being who showed people how to attain nirvana . if your defination of god is some what similar who teaches you correct path then he can be god but he was true person and a person in history, A kind of philosophical leader unlike Jesus or Mohammed who was more politician. Also regarding where was Buddha born..Buddha was born in Lumbini.Not NEPAL not INDIA. why? LUMBINI wasn't part of Nepal back then nor was part of India.The boundaries of Nepal was limited to kTm valley and surroundings. If someone says Buddha was born in Indian subcontinent also known as India(for foreigners) then may be in this regard Buddha was born in India.
