From What I heard, Most of the Dhoti restaurants does not give the tips to its staff instead they are paid a salary. If you leave any tips it goes to the owners pocket rather than waiters. What I have done in the past is, I just give Cash to the waiter separately and paid the bill by cr. card with $0 tip. Waiters told me that, they can get cash that way.
