I have never flown in Gulf or Qatar but my mom just came to see me and she took Qatar. Someone already said that you will have to switch to US carriers (continental in this case) at some point and you will have to follow their luggage guidelines. Overall, my mom said she has nothing to complain about. She found the airlines staff very friendly and didnt complain about the food. The luggage was in great shape, not a single trace of dirt. She has never travelled to US before and I had requested a 'meet and greet' service (as someone in Sajha suggested) and she had no trouble getting from one place to the other. The transit was only about 2 hrs and the flight was on time. They do have special rate if you fly back within 4 months..but i dont think its that 'special'. They still charge you the same as any other airline..I just think its their marketing gimmick. Gurudev, if you are flying back in Qatar..may I ask from where and when? Coz I will feel much better sending her off with some Nepali travel companion.
