I voted Yes on the question. Not that my vote matters because San dai has already made up his mind, and I'd say rightly so. So I tought I'd cast a protest vote to make a statement about content on Sajha. Truth be told, I am quite amused at all the attention this issue has gotten. I am no big fan of seeing women in bikinis but I'd argue the bikini is not the real problem on Sajha. How about all the vitriolic crap related to politics and caste that we have been subjected to on the front pages of Sajha? I doubt many people would want to see a thong when they open up Sajha but nothing, I'd argue, can be as bad as opening up Sajha to find senseless threads that are hateful, derogatory and inflamatary in nature clutterring up the home page every so often I realize content on this site is very user-driven and I accept that as a part of life on Sajha. Sometimes, though, I wish there was more moderation on this site and San dai would delegate some of this responsibility to volunteers if he can't find the time to do it himself. Just a thought, San dai. But in the absense of such moderation, if I have to live with what I think is mostly sub-par content, I'd rather it be about bikinis than about bigotry. Also, Sajha wouldn't be Sajha without controversy and even though I voted the way I did, I am glad we are having a discussion about the subject. Happy friday all!
