Do you plan to have kids soon? Where are you from? Do you have any disabilities or health problems? Can you read English? How long have you been in the U.S.? Most of the these questions are illegal. Sometimes, an employer asks these questions to try to get to know you. Other times, an employer may use these questions to discriminate against you. If you don't want to answer a question, you can simply ask the employer whether the question has anything to do with a job requirement. Work Authorization Are you a citizen or green card holder? Show me. You should remember that you have a right to remain silent and speak to a lawyer if anyone asks for your immigration papers. you only need to show that you are work authorized.
