.I think the best answer I have seen so far from any of you guys is the one Loote gave about his Libertarian stance. If you ask me, I am pro-choice. If the argument is, to quote Monty Python-- "every sperm is sacred", and once it is inside of a woman, she should not abort because life begins at conception, then I would say it is "ridiculous". Just because the sperms and eggs mixed inside of the woman and now is becoming a "baby" does not mean the woman does not have the right to disown the sperm and egg. Just because you were thinking to build a chair and you bought nails, hammer and wood already does not mean you no longer have right to not make the chair. It's my chair. I may not want the chair even when I am already done building it with only one leg remaining to put on. I may not want the chair even when I have all four legs done, and only finishing touches remain to be done. Many of you may say it is not right to compare a baby to a chair. But my point is not to compare the baby to a chair. My point is, until the baby comes popping out of the woman, the woman has the right to choose whether or not she wants it. Who are we to say what she wants or not, and what she can or cannot do? She is a human being and capable of making her own decisions. The whole abortion issue should rest with the women. Men should NOT have any say on this. If your argument is that men contribute to the baby because only the egg does not make a baby, men contribute with their sperm. So men should also have a say in the abortion. I would say "ridiculous". We are not the ones responsible for carrying the baby in our womb for 9 months. You were inside of a woman once and you delivered your sperm does not give you the right to decide abortion. You waste your sperm everyday in your bathroom with the latest edition of the playboy magazine. If the right-wing nuts really believe that abortion starts at conception, then here's my question: have you right-wingers ever thought about the millions of sperms (that are "potential human beings" in you own words) that you destroy every time you masturbate thinking of Pam Anderson? Isn't that abortion too? You are killing millions of potential babies. You know what? Masturbation should not be legal, just the way abortion is not.
