Otherwise, if youcan produce evidence that due to unexpected reasons such as health, or other issues, you could not extend your B-1 , and if you ahve evidences, you can file for an extension for next 3-6 months requiring treatment . The next thing would be to leave the country and reenter if you have a multipleentry visa. MAke sure that while reentering, you show the officer a proper evidence as of why you overstayed (such as medical treatment documents).
