.I am for a republic, but I can understand why Girija is against the republic. He is from a previous generation , so he cannot fathom Nepal being a republic. Our generation is not as connected to the whole King-as-an-avatar-of-Vishnu ideology that these guys have been sipping during their lifetime. So, I can completely understand why Girija refuses to argue for a republic without a King. But, my understanding of Girija's situation does not mean I agree with Girija. Nepal does need to be a republic. No more Kings, we've had enough of royalty and monarchy since the conecption of Nepal thousands of years ago. Let's go with Republic of Nepal for a change.
