Well,I pick up THE book when it gets some award or becomes the bestseller, or someone I am interested in, is interested in that book..........Was reading Loosing my Virginity..which my frens recommended as MUST READ...but could not go on after few pages..it is just like a press release from a president of some company....I used to hate Biography coz it is narrated by others but now I hate autobiography even more....coz most of the time it is like blowing ones own trumpet...can't help...But will try to get hold of the copy of Kiran Desai's book ...hopefully I will get the English one...Besides I read few coloumn's in some dailies by her mom(long time back)...which was more or less similar to the writing of my thulomuwa.....I love Indian writers.....Bikarm Seth is my all time favorite( I can identifywith each and every character in his work) may be because of my background, and Ruskin Bond..I grew up with his stories( I want to live life like his)....Khuswant Singh..the sexiest Suddy writer(I just love him,I admire his candidness)....V.S.Naipul never read anything but heard a lot abt him.....Arundhati Roy...I am confused with her character plot in The God of Small things..Shoba De who brought Glamour to the writing and writers .I love Indian columnists .Jug Suraiya. Gurcharan Das whose column was a regular read when I was trying to read bussiness journals(though I never succeeded)...There are manyyyyy writers and I simply love the work of English Indian writers...and from Nepal , our one and only Samrat Upadhyay....I just hate his interpretation about Nepalese and Nepalese culture...every book I read gave me the feeling of bitterness... I just don't like his work..Sorry Samrat! And yeah am looking for one book...The last Maharani of Gwalior....I tried to buy it in Nepal..but was not there ...in India...but they were out of stock....Will try my luck next year....
