Ram Krishna Dhakal was born in Nijgadh of Bara District in Nepal on July 23,1974.He started his singing career from early childhood when he was 10 years old.Right at the age of 14,he appeared at a solo musical concert entitled”Dhakal Sumadhur Saanjh” at city hall in Kathmandu on July 9,1989. Again he gave his second solo performance “Dhakal Sumadhur Saanjh Dosro-2055” in 1998 at the Royal Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu.Thereafter,he mad headway with heavy solo music albums like “Ashirbad” in 1993,”Aashish” in 1996,”Aasha” in 1998,”Aaroha” in 1999,”Aagraha“in 2001 and Aadhar” in 2002,”Aashyara” in 2004 and “Aagaman” in 2006.In mean time,his number of modern and patriotic songs as well as this playback singing for Films made him extremly popular even the beyond the frontiers of Nepal.His Achievements in the field of music has been phenomenal.In recognization of these talents His Lt. Majesty King Birendra Bikram Shah decorated him with the prestigious Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu in 1998,the youngest singer in the history of Nepalese music to receive the award.He has been the focal point of music lovers from the young to old and as a result,he has earned numerous national awards among them being Narayan Gopal Yuva Sangeet Puraskar and Shree Paanch Gaddhi Aarohan Rajat Mahotshav Padak-2053.He has made a record by receiving the “Music Nepal Puraskar” awarded for the best seller in 3 consecutive years for his respective Music album”Aasha“-2055\2056,”Aaroha“-2057.He has received the Hits FM Award for the record of the year,Album of the year,and Best Male Vocal Performance. He was awarded the Motion Picture Award -2001 for the Best play back singer for the Film “Aashirbad“,the highest award in Nepal`s Film industry in this catagory.The theme of the Film is based on his Life story where he has acted as the protagonist.On July 1st,2002 the Boston College of London Awarded him with an Honorary Diplma for his long time contribution to Nepalese Music and for being the most successful singer of Nepal.Believing in the strong bond of love between Music and Music lovers,Ram Krishna Dhakal is once again offering us his New album “Aagaman” which is recently realeased.
