there are plenty of transaction agencies in thamel, jamal and king's way areas... personally, i don't feel the need of carrying traveler's cheques. nabil bank has atm almost everywhere in ktm and in other major cities. they just charge a dollar per transaction. and your bank may charge another dollar for international withdrawal. hth LooTe
