Bagged Spinach E Coli Outbreak

Batuwa: I think if you cook it to a certain temperature, you are ok. The FDA website doesn't say what that temperature is - it says for 70 degrees Celcius for beef and other meat but does not list anything specific for spinach. I expect Nepalese-sytle spinach is likely to be in the safe temperature range given the way it is prepared. Since I had a bit of freetime on my hands today, I sent the FDA an email asking them what temperature spinach should be cooked at to be safe from e.Coli and I'll be happy to post their reply here if and when I get it. :) Flip Flop - LOL. You'll just have to do with carrots for now :) Hush - I am less worried about dying than about spending half the night in the toilet :)
