$25 Nepalese Channels

Though it was a real treat to be able to watch so many nepali tv live....more so for my parents. I concur with all of you here on the price tag. It's not about affordability but about worthiness. As most of you have pointed out $25 a month to watch nepali tv on the computer (even if you were to connect it to your tv, not a whole lot different), sub par programming quality, news overdose every other minute or every other channel, ridiculously pathetic indian commericals dubbed in nepali, music videos (need i say more??), and on top of all this the time difference with not being able to watch primetime programming. I know these points have nothing to do with the folks who brought the channels live online but nevertheless they come to us as salesmen and they should be fully aware of their product and it's worth to the customers. For the right price (and i think under $10 a month is more than fair), I would have definitely supported this venture by other fellow Nepalis but at $25, I'd feel like I am supporting a charitable organization with zero charity work. Anyways, to cut my long crap short.....there are plenty of free nepali and indian programs / movies available online to keep us busy and then there is BFBS gurkha radio for our live nepali news and entertainment craving. P.S. It is also worth while to mention today's "onliners psychology" when it comes to paid subscription: if the fee is minimal they rather pay it and feel ethical about it. However if they feel the fee isn't worth it, they will do whatever means it takes to get the pirated version of that service and feel a sense of pride in doing so because they didn't give in to something they didn't consider was worth the price they needed to pay. So, these folks who have set the price at $25 a month are going to be extremely vulnerable to the leechers.
