yes, cannot really generalize.... some parents are stringent some are lenient. on the other hand, some kids are smart, some are dumb. you really cannot blame parents alone, after all why would they think against the betterment of their kids? personally, i am happy that my parents did not allow me liberties on certain issues. i would not have been what i am today if i was allowed too much of freedom on certain things. so, it's both ways you see. it takes a lot from parents to stand against their kids' will. and it takes even more from a kid to understand why they are doing it to them. "Taali ek hathle bajdaina" as they say in nepali. for kids "actually" deprived from their rights-- be a rebel!! eh! Peace LooTe
