guys in my opinion Maria Sharapova is the best female tennis player of all time. No doubt she's a great beauty with elegant grace to go with, its her perforamance that outclass her opponents. In early 90's to mid 90's Monica Seles and Steffi Graff were the ultimate two to beat. Both ladies were so sharp and always outplayed their opponents before meeting each other in the final. And i thought Monica Seles was the best and i always followed her. Then from late 90's to early 20's a new girl emerged in the ATP. A new star was borned. Martina Hingis became a youngest ladies player to win the grand slam title when she won the Australian open in 1997. The way Martina Hingis played was simply awesome. Then i like everyone thought Hingis was the best. She held ATP ranking number 1 for consecutive 5 years. But in 2002 she suffered a setback. Not from her oppenet but from her injury. Then the Swiss star, Hingis went into retirement. Every tennis fan was shocked. And for the moment world of tennis was dead. Then out of now where Justin- Hardenne came to the limelight. She was short in height but her physical and fast approached to attacking kind of tennis soon became a talking point. Hardenne was hardworking and simply stubborn. Soon she was sweeping most of the grand slams. But in 2004 a unkown Russian blonde came to the limelight. In 2004 when Maria Sharaopva won the Wimbledon Open, her first title,she became instantly well known figure. Then without looking back Maria Sharapova has conqured every grand slam titles. Mind you she is only 19 years old and in my opinion she is the BEST female player of modern era. Like all the tennis player i have different approach to playing tennis. I for example is a single right handed player. I like to play fast attacking game with long rallies with waiting for my oppenet to make an error. That's how Maria Sharapova play. My style. We definitely played a similar style and if only i could have a chance to go against Maria for one day. That would be one of my GREATEST Day.
