I think that the people in bordering districts of western Nepal have somewhat improvement in
their thinking for this superstition. Still, women are not allowed to cook food at kitchen during
the period. For the remote regions of districts, I agree with many of the comments by reporter.
This is partly due to the government's inability to start awareness programmes in local level.
Once the people are taught about the consequences of health hazards, I think they could
gradually improve their thinking. The Political parties, civil society and the educational institutions
in the areas must have to play a key role to make people aware.
