A Crank Call

This was around 9PM, last night. I got a "private call" on my cell phone. This is how the conversation went. Me: "hello" The guy: "hello, is this hunk_in_grave?" "Yes I am, who's calling?" "haha..you don't know me? But I know you since last 17-18 years?" "Hmm..oh Peter? how you doing?" "I am not Peter...you fuc..r!, listen! you owe me money" "haha..who are you then?" "don't try to act smart now, you know me very well, don't pretend, I am John ..." "Oh really! How come I don't even know my beloved friend's name? And how sad that I owe you money and don't even know you" "Look! I am not here to play games, by tomorrow 2PM, you have to deposit 2k in my bank account" "Oh well, how sweet of you to remind me that, go ahead, tell me your bank name and the acct. no. and why only 2K? I will deposit 20K for a dear friend of mine who has known me for years!" "haha...you smarta$$, take down the bank name and my account no." "well, I already have pen and paper ready for you, I was expecting your call you see, go ahead!" "----bank, and ........account no." "okay" "repeat what you took down" "----bank, and ........account no." "okay, so 2 pm by tomorrow, else you know what I can do, don't put yourself in trouble!" "sure, don't worry, you have a good night, my old friend!" Then he hangs up. Throughout the conversation, I was under the impression that some stupid friend of mine is doing all this, hence I tried to sound decent and humorous. Since no one called me back after that, I think it's not from any of my acquaintances, let alone close friends. But I don't know what this means. I mean, I have not received any crank calls in US as of yesterday. Seems like someone is playing with me but I am not sure. I don't know the person (at least by his name and by his voice) and I don't owe money to anyone. I am not afraid of anything either, but just wanted to know if any of you have been through this kind of situation before. What's your say?
