This may be of intetest. Some book-loving friends of mine in Kathmandu have recently started: - http://www.fineprintbookclub.com/ The parent company, FinePrint, is a newly established publishing house in Nepal. Its first book is Durga Baral's book of political cartoons, which has been doing selling well in the market. FinePrint aims to publish books, and regularly hold book-related events such as author-reader interactions in Kathmandu. It recently held an interaction with Samrat and his readers at the British Council in KTM. DISCLOSURE: I am NOT directly involved with FinePrint, though I did provide some informal advice, and their first (upcoming) newsletter, among others, features a short interview with me (where I talk about my experience as a reader of books). That said, in coming years, I see more and more Nepalis emerging as writers -- both of fiction and non-fiction. oohi ashu
