I know over ambition of Executive committee members of KU has led KUMS to the downfall. First, I do not like this PBL system of teaching method in KUMS. PBL itself is a very good concept, but that does not work with our education system, especially with these thugs.... Even I was not directly involved with KUDH, i kind of know nukes and flukes. KUMS is a wonderful concept especially in dhulikhel, but it did not go well with all the crew that we have. Even with some faculty of Harvard Medical school, I guess, we could not utilize them properly. And you know, our Nepali mentality, when we are in front of a foreigner, we treat them like a god, we think they are the real people and they know the world. Of course, KU's life is much more dependent on foreign donations, but that does not mean that they are the best. The best PhD Professor of IIT Delhi MIGHT be the worst teacher in Delhi Public School. If you want to listen to Principals of all KU affiliate medical college, they are all fired up because of KU giving much priority to KUMS. They do not like their affiliated University have different program system than what themselves have. I think this is true. To the top of that, the faculty KU has hired for KUMS are not that worthy either and I do not blame that for KU only. Even in whole Nepal, medical faculties are very very hard to get. As salary is not that attractive, even the capable Doctors do not want to teach. Then we have to be satisfied with bunch of monkeys. To the end, I would say even Dr Suresh Raj will not VC this time, we MUST appoint him as Advisor or something like that or EMERITUS Professor. I still do not believe he has ruin KU. Of course, he may have some loose points by appointing his well wisher and in Todays world, I would say its OK if they are capable of doing what they are assigned. The visiion and the dedications that I have seen in VC sir's eyes, cant be seen in any other nepalsese ( I believe). Of course he should trian his juniors to become future VCs but still, WE STILL NEED THAT OLD MAN IN KU FOR COUPLE OF MORE YEARS WHETHER HE WILL BE VC OR EMERITUS PROFESSOR OR ADVISOR.
