BornInNewyork, the faculty in KUMS would like to be freed of the manipulative Dr. Nastu Sharma and megalomaniac Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha but you know all the faculty are kept on shortterm contracts so they will be too scared to lose their jobs. We have just heard from one of the old faculty of KUMS that Dr. Navin Thapa is actually returning back to Nepal after doing some postdoc. research in Harvard and UK. We need leadership from someone like him who has always put the students and the image of KUMS first. Even when he disagreed with people, he showed courtesy and respect for other people. We can not believe he would return after getting a research position in Harvard and London. There must be few people like him. We gave him a farewell party in KUMS, and he was so excited to be doing some research at the Sanger Institute in Cambridge which is the top place for molecular biology in the world. We need to promote people like him. Many people won't know this guy went to UK from class 7 at Budhanilkantha so he not only has the heart but also is very bright. He is just the sort of person who can take KUMS and KU forward in the future by bringing real research in KU and modelling us like a British or American class.
