GC: I heard, some universities ban on use of private lawyer to file permanent residence status. In that case, university itself will process after s/he works in it under H1B for three years. If the person already has PhD and four to five years of postdoctoral work experiences, how long it might take him/her to get a permanent resident status? In such a case with particular university, should he have to wait for three years under H1B category? Any idea?
