Hi everyone. My labor has just been approved. I was on my way to file for I-140 and I-485, when I found out that my lawyer is indicted and charged by the US Attorney's Office. She has been charged with visa fraud and bringing out illegal immigrants to this country. Right now she's out on a bail of $100,000. I talked with few others and everyone has told me to drop the lawyer. On top of that, my lawyer is pretty expensive. I was just wondering how difficult it is to file the I-140 and the I-485 on your own. Has anyone done their own filings in the past? If anyone has or knows someone who has done this, please le me know. What are the steps that I need to be aware of.
