I am really surprised to hear that one can get GC in 6-7 months. If thats possible then its really a magic and I would definitely like to know the detail process. I have been waiting for just my labor for last 5 months using PERM. My case is randomly selected for Audit else PERM should be pretty quick within a month. And the current priority date for GC under EB3 is 01MAR02 according to current visa bulletin. To check current visa bulletin visit http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_3009.html For those who are not familiar with priority date: Priority date is date when you start your green card process starting with filing of labor certification. Technically this means for someone filing under EB3, to file final green card they have to wait for this date. So, right now only those who started their labor certification by 01MAR02 can file actual final green card (I485). Note: If you change your job before filing I485 then you have to redo both labor certification and I140. I hope this information is helpful
