As far as based on your story I don't think there was any condition about losing 50 lbs when they got married. So there cannot be any bargain regarding tha case although there is a chance that the husband can ask for a divorce without any particular reason. Now our biggest question is how to get your friend off her husband without being pennyless, the best thing to do is to get a lawyer and tell him all about the husband and also his probable intention of leaving her when he got his way which could be used as an intentional crime. Now a days the immigiration law is very tough and I think you can use the intentional crime and get the guy off the country. You can also sue him for all the money or at least half of the money that was deposited in the bank by your friend.
