I am a great fan of him. More than a mathematician, he was a figher who stood against the odds of life and came out as a winner. Hats off to you, my idol!!! ============== Here are some of his greatest quotes: * There has to be a mathematical explanation for how bad your tie is. * Classes will dull your mind, destroy the potential for authentic creativity. * I've made the most important discovery of my life. It's only in the mysterious equation of love that any logical reasons can be found. I'm only here tonight because of you. You're the only reason I am... you're all my reasons.--For his wife, during the nobel prize distribution in 1994. * Perhaps it is good to have a beautiful mind, but an even greater gift is to discover a beautiful heart. * I don't have time for these classes and these books, memorizing the weak assumptions of lesser mortals. I need the truth, through the governing dynamics. Find the trully original idea, that's the only way I will ever distinguish myself, it's the only way I'll ever...matter. ================ And here's the breakthrough quote that aroused the idea behind "governing dynamics". Adam Smith said, the best result comes from everyone in the group doing what’s best for himself, right? That’s what he said, right? Incomplete. Incomplete! Because the best result would come from everyone in the group doing what’s best for himself and the group. This is where he derive this line from: If we all go for the blonde, we block each other, and not a single one of us is goin’ to get her. So then we go for her friends, but they will all give us the cold shoulder because nobody likes to be second choice. But what if no one goes for the blonde? We don’t get in each other’s way, and we don’t insult the other girls. That’s the only way we win. That’s the only way we all get laid. LooTe
