Good Point BornInNewyork because jobs like civil service, universitites in Nepal are government sponsored. The Prime Minister is the Chancellor of KU; which makes it a national property to be used for the benefits of Nepalis. Like you say, if KU was a private college like DOn Bosco, it would be different - even then the students would be expected to be treated evenly so that a student who is a relative of the owners should not be given preference. There must be professional ethics in academia - noone should make profits by exploiting others when it comes to opportunities in education. I would go further and expect KU to award more scholarships because the government gives about Rs. 1 crore a year which is more per student of KU than TU. All Nepalis must have opinion in this matter and fight nepotism because KU should be for Nepalis and not for the relatives of Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma, Dr. Sitaram Adhikary, Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha or Dr. Nastu Sharma.
