bpu, There are lots of nepalese in Portland area but I am not sure in Vancouver. I am 2 hrs away from Vancouver. NAO (Nepalese Association in Oregon) organizes lots of events. That would be a good opportunity to know some people around portland-oregon. their website is www.nao..org. good-luck
