recently, I have noticed an increasing number of threads where the originator is simply posting a subject for 'shock value'. This thread has no rhyme or reason, and is simply there to provoke viewers and entice them to respond. I myself have fallen victim to that, but that was before I figured it out. The individuals that post these threads are the same all the time, and I am sure they get a kick out of how many responses they get to their thread. I also think these are scumbags that really do not have much else going on in their lives. There's got to be something that can be done to correct this, because I see this spiralling out of control.
