Health Minister hospitalised with malaria By Our Reporter SHILLONG: At a time when the Health administration was trying its best to remove fear about alarming spread of malaria in the State, the Health Minister himself fell prey to malaria during his brief stay in Garo Hills. Health Minister ED Marak was moved to Shillong Civil Hospital on Tuesday after being diagnosed having malaria. According to family sources, Mr Marak was running high fever since Monday night and was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was administered anti-malarial drugs and a few injections. His condition is reported to be stable. He was suspected of having infected by the disease in Garo Hills last week where he had gone for an official visit along with Chief Minister JD Rymbai and other Cabinet colleagues.
