Let's help Arbind Bhattarai. Message below from Rajendra Shrestha, President, Nepalese Association of Houston Dear Friends and Friends of Nepal, Arbind Bhattarai moved to Houston about two years ago from Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing his studies at Houston Community College. He is a 22-year-old young man from Kalanki in Kathmandu, Nepal. Unfortunately for Arbind, his family, and all of us, he has recently been diagnosed with a serious case of Lymphoma Cancer. Arbind has received six chemotherapy sessions since November 2005 at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston. According to his physician, his health condition is serious and he now needs a bone marrow transplant in order to survive. Since Arbind does not carry any health insurance, and he is neither a permanent resident nor a citizen of the US, he is facing an uphill battle to get admitted to a hospital with such capabilities. To say the least, Arbind is currently fighting for his life. Ad revenue will be contributed towards Help Arbind Fund Arbind's parents, Narayan and Guddy Bhattarai, who traveled all the way from Nepal, and his friends Suraj Shrestha and Niraj Shrestha, have been taking care of him since November 2005. Nepalese Association of Houston has set up the “Help Arbind Fund,” to help defray the cost of his treatment. We are accepting donations to help Arbind get admitted in the hospital. Your contributions will help save the life of Arbind, one of our own young Nepali students. So please open your hearts to support Arbind at this difficult and trying time. Kindly forward this e-mail to your friends and relatives. Please pledge your support by responding to this e-mail and make the check out to “Nepalese Association of Houston” with “Help Arbind Fund” in the memo line in the lower left corner of your check.
