It was kinda surprising to see Pepsi play it nice to Coke. I guess they both see a mega merger in the future. I don't see the two cola gaints surviving without consolidation because the market has changed even for "diet" types soft drinks. You are seeing low cal drinks, natural drinks, energy drinks, so on and so forth. Just look at yourself for an example, how less of cola product you drink now compare to 10 years ago. So, 10 years from now Coke and Pepsi need to merge, so no point of stealing trade secrets now cause it ain't gonna help and when you can have it legally 5-10yrs from now. u_day, don't we wish we had invested in HANS couple years ago....dang!!!
