I am not in the habit of sending birthday greetings to strangers, and that includes Mr. Shah. That said, I do wish Mr. Shah the citizen a long life, so that, having stood trial, he has enough time to write his memoirs, answering questions and mysteries sufficiently that we can close a sad chapter of the country's history as we proceed with building a democratic prosperous Nepal.
