I agree with you ImI, Transportation and electric power supply are the basic needs to florish economic activities in any country. Apples in Helumbu could be transported to Kathmandu. Oranges from Lamjung could be transported to other parts of Nepal. These are just few examples. We find all Indian oranges consumed in Nepalese Juice Factories. They want to buy it from Nepal but it costs them much higher than that from India. It is all because the farm industry has not been institutionalized and the transportation system is not efficient, hence high price. I don't blame these farmers. They don't know what will happen next year. May be a month of strike and they will not be able to sell any of their products. They will obviously raise the price. Price for Uncertainty. We have 35 hrs of load shading in Nepal, how can we imagine any factory work in this condition?? Nepalese electricity is on of the most expensive electricity in the world. The market is all flooded with Indian Products. Where are those Everest Toothpaste, Brighter toothpaste, Star Beer, Ice Berg etc?? While all the foreign product can make business in Nepal why our own Nepalese product get lost somewhere in Middle. It's time now. All these things should be settled. Keeping King is not a big question, getting to a new economic height should be a big concern.
