this is a public forum, so people voice their opinion. not everyone can or at least are in positions to deliver actions. this is an age of IT, so voicing one's opinion can be sometimes as effective as action, provided if the voice can be delivered to the right people. sajha, being a nepalese forum, is a good platform to put forth issues. i m sure nepalese community do visit it time and ofen. let's stop this debate on actions and speech. as long as it helps, even in bits and pieces, to cater the purpose, i don't see any reason why one cannot complain. as for the discrimination thing goes, i agree that there is relatively less pressure from teh media on police department of Estes park about Pratistha's case. if this thread is being read by any nepalese association in US, i urge, on behalf of all nepalese to do something to at least broadcast the news over all major news channels. i also request them to ask for any help needed from members of the nepalese diaspora.
